After just 5 days in Vienna I’m back on the road heading to Kuala Lumpur this time. Many of you know that I spend quite a bit of time on the road. Still, I’m not really buying into the argument of the airlines they are trying to sell us namely that their service is much superior and that they can really differentiate themselves with it. Don’t get me wrong there are airlines with horrible service (LOT and Ryanair probably deserving first price (no offense Poland an Ireland)) and there are airlines with excellent service (Emirates and Singapore deserve special mentions here). What I’m saying is that airline cabins are uncomfortable – especially for a slim guy such as myself – no mater how good the service is or what class you fly.
I do want to mention one outstanding exception though which is the food on Austrian Airlines which never fails to make my day. What I love is that all meals are prepared by a chef on board, you get great variety and most importantly they keep your glass of red wine full so you are sure to have a great sleep after your meal is finished. I highly recommend the combo red wine, red wine, red wine and port wine. Never fails to work to put me to sleep for 7+ hours. Give it a try. I recommend, it’s nice.
may we wake you up for breakfast… Nice touch.
