Just finished a photo shoot in Barcelona for an upcoming book on female mountain climbers. Right now there are about 6 women in the world competing for the title of first woman to ever climb all 8000 peaks in the Himalaya. The pictures are of Edurne Pasaban, a Spanish contestant.
Barcelona of course is an incredibly beautiful city so I felt inspired to snap some impressions. Everytime I come here I feel like Barcelona is a little bit like Vienna just better. Vienna is landlocked and the weather in winter is horrible. Not that it´s too cold but it´s mostly cloudy and overcast. So on one hand the “feel” of the 2 cities is somewhat comparable but then of course Spanish (or should I say Catalan not to offend anybody?) culture (and the weather) is much warmer.
And last but not least Barcelona has the ultimate advantage of having beaches! Who´s laughing now Vienna?
